SPUD RUN 2010

Greetings Spud Runners.  In 1992 a couple of Blue Knights invited all Blue Knights to join them at the Super 8 Motel in Boise for a weekend of festivities and friendship. No registration, no organized rides, no pins or T-shirts. 18 people showed up. The following year was moved to an old motel across from the University Inn (where the Starbuck's is now located on University). Several years later, and with greater numbers, the gathering moved to the University Inn. In 2007 the University Inn became the property of Boise State University and we relocated to the Rodeway Inn to maintain a similar environment. Even though numbers have grown to as many as 200 folks attending, the Spud Run remains unchanged as it is "unofficial". Just name a place and folks will be there. Information for 2010 is as follows:

DATES: Arrival Friday May 28 Departure May 30, 2010 Early and late departures are the order of the day,
just arrive and enjoy the company of your fellow Blue Knights.

LOCATION: RODEWAY INN 1115 North Curtis Rd, Boise, ID 83706

REGISTRATION: 1-800-727-5002 or 1-208-376-2700.  If the hotel is full, it was nearly full by Feb 1st,
the hotel will refer you to an alternate hotel and place you on a wait list for vacancies.
Alt Hotel is the Plaza Suite at 208-375-7666 and they will honor the Rodeway rate.

RATES: All rooms for Blue Knights will be $65.95 Arrival or staying an extra day will be at the same room rate.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancel in last 4 days, 50% first night penalty, cancel within 2 days forfeit first nights payment.

RESTAURANT: Breakfast from 6-9am week days and 7-10 on weekends, included in your room rate
Lunch is on your own, as in the past they are not open for lunch
Dinner from 5-9pm daily

also a bit quieter for conversation.

BBQ: The annual BBQ will be held on Saturday May 29th at 6:00pm, pool side area. Cost is $15.00 per person.  You MUST purchase a BBQ ticket at the hotel registration desk prior to 6:00 pm Friday May 28th in order for the hotel to notify the catering company of the number of meals to prepare for Saturday
