Great Lakes Conference Events & Rides

We encourage our members to plan ahead and present the rides and events within the GLRC perimeters. For those who are hosting an event, post your flyer as soon as the details are ironed out.

"Please send your notice at least 30 days in advance."

Contact the hosting chapter for specific details of their event to confirm the places and location held if there are any questions. The webmaster simply posts the related links here. We try to ensure that all events listed are Blue Knights events, we do not advertise GWRRA, HOG or other club events although if they are a joint effort consideration will be given. "Don't Give Up the Ship" - 1812

The City of Erie is celebrating the Battle of Lake Erie in the War of 1812 with the 200 year anniversary Parade on May 25th 2013. Units from as far away Philly (the Mummers) are already registered to be involved and the Blue Knight, PA Chapter 18 have been asked to lead off the Parade.

Our representatives met with City of Erie Motorcycle Patrol Supervisors and they asked if we could provide them some assistance. They would like our personnel to augment their officers and assist with both crowd and traffic control issues during the parade.

They are coordinating with the City and the parade organizers to have members of our unit roll back after leading the parade and move into positions to assist. We feel it is a perfect opportunity to showcase the Blue Knights in their role of Community support and, as the "Good Guys".

The City's invitation to us was posed as bring in as many Blus Knights as you can as they are expecting over 100,000 people lining the 2+ mile parade route. So at this point we are requesting assistance from our Brothers and Sisters in both GLRC and Tri State that can travel to the area to join with us in this endeavour.

What we will need from those members that want to be involved is for them to contact our Road Captain, Ricky Carr rickycarr2002@yahoo.com and confirm that;

1) You will be there or
2) You may possibly be there, BY MAY 9TH, so we can better plan the involvement.

We are going to immediately start making contacts at local motels in an attempt to get reduced rates for visiting Blue Knights and will get this information out as soon as possible. As always I thank you for your efforts and should you have any questions feel free to contact me through a reply to this email or as per the information below.
